Contra dance with Roaring Jelly.
Details
Our first dance of the season, LIZ NELSON calling! Contra dancing is an old New England tradition. It is lively, easy to learn and fun. You don't need to bring a partner and no previous experience is necessary. You'll find that contra dancers are friendly and helpful.
ROARING JELLY, a contra dance band, has been hosting contra dances since 1970. We play traditional and modern tunes from the U.S., Ireland, UK, and Canada.
Amission: sliding scale $7-15. Wear comfortable, casual clothing. Beginners and singles welcome.
Note: the front of the church is dark. It looks like no one is home. Persevere! Parking lot and entry to the dance is at the rear of the church. See you there!
