We voted to talk about the separation of church and state last time, but a few people suggested the upcoming Georgia Republican primary on March 6th would be more timely.

I was thinking we might try a different format given the growth of our group lately. How about breaking up into smaller groups after an introductory period? We could try to arrange each group to have a mix of viewpoints. Or each small group could focus on a particular issue. Post feedback in the comments below.

Doing a primaries meetup is a little like taking on ALL controversial topics :)

Our group is focused on learning more than honing debating skills. The goal is to hear viewpoints you never would have been exposed to in your normal circles, and to hopefully get a little deeper than the sound bytes we hear on the news. Please don't come to recruit for your preferred candidate. Do feel free to play devil's advocate and argue the other side.

Note: a lot of us eat dinner during the meetup, feel free to do so as well. This also makes the venue happier.

There's an optional $2 fee for this meetup. This helps cover the $180 annual meetup cost.
