About us
"At Your Convenience" — A Cross-Cultural Friction Lab for Critical Inquiry
Have you ever returned from living abroad and suddenly noticed the invisible mechanics of your hometown? The small friction points you used to tune out, or the seamless systems you didn't realize you relied on?
That shift in perspective is where we start.
While convenience is how a system is engineered to function, privilege determines who it was actually designed for.
In an increasingly polarized world, the need of the hour is the courage to question both—to think critically and hold space for intellectual friction.
Sitting at the intersection of hyper-convenience and diverse international perspectives, Tokyo serves as the perfect canvas to test our assumptions and re-examine the world around us.
At Your Convenience is a monthly, 2.5-hour discussion lab designed to explore how urban environments, spatial design, and social structures actively shape our conveniences, habits and identities.
We are moving past polite, surface-level networking. Come to question, unlearn, and relearn, not to reach a quick consensus.
What’s your baseline? Let’s find out!
