About us

This is a gathering for people who are curious about themselves, their relationships, and the way we move through life.

This group first began a few years ago and then went quiet for a time. Since then, the work has continued to deepen, eventually resulting in the publication of my book, A Matter of Being: Living an Inspired Life Through the Power of Observation. I am reopening the conversation now because it feels like the right time to bring these questions back into a shared space.

Each meeting begins with a simple question or theme: fear, love, loneliness, desire, success, conflict, identity, change, or something else that touches all of us. From there, we look together.

There is no lecture, no doctrine, and no particular point of view you are expected to adopt.

The purpose is not to arrive at the “right” answer, but to notice what becomes visible when we slow down and give our full attention to what is actually happening within us.

These conversations grow out of the ideas explored in A Matter of Being. The book introduces Observation as a way of looking directly at our experience, without immediately trying to explain, judge, fix, or change what we see.
The group is an opportunity to explore that work together in real conversation.

We spend much of our lives explaining, judging, defending, reacting, and trying to change ourselves. This group offers something different: an opportunity to observe before we conclude.

You are welcome to speak, question, disagree, or simply listen. The conversation is open, respectful, and grounded in direct experience rather than theory.

You do not need any background in philosophy, psychology, meditation, or spirituality. Only curiosity.

Come as you are. Bring a question, an experience, or simply a willingness to look.

There is always more than is first perceived.
