12p Sat. July 18: we discuss Dostoevsky's GRAND INQUISITOR, @ CC's on Esplanade
Details
[This is the 3rd of our yearly discussions of "The Grand Inquisitor".]
Join us Saturday, July 18, noon to 1:30p at CC's Coffee on Esplanade Ave. (between North Broad and City Park). We might be in their community room -- to the right, before the bathrooms, as you walk in -- or in the main area or outside. Come and leave anytime.

We'll discuss a 35-page commentary of THE GRAND INQUISITOR, a story within the story of the Brothers Karamazov by Dostoevsky (1880 novel). That commentary is by Charles B. Guignon and can be found at

Used copies on bookfinder.com for under $ 7.

The tale of the Grand Inquisitor itself is about 20 pages.
The text -- Book V: Chapter 5 of the novel -- is free online, like at

LibriVox audio (about 1 hour) at
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEG61N7cBcY
Note: Guignon recommends reading related chapters to the Grand Inquisitor tale itself -- that would be Book V: Chapters 3 and 4 and Book VI: Chapters 2 and 3.
The Guignon commentary is just a suggestion for our discussion. Lots of material available online.
