What we’re about

The Copenhagen International Volunteer Club (CIVC) was founded in 2011 in order to bring together people of diverse backgrounds and experiences to work on issues of common interest. This group is for everyone regardless of age, nationality or experience who is interested or involved in community service and voluntary work, be it in Denmark or elsewhere.

We have several work groups that you can join, our current active groups are: refugees & asylum Issues, medical exchanges & capacity building projects and sustainable housing & urban issues.

Our refugee work has been taking up most of our time and energy since 2011. We have adjusted this in accordance with the ebbs and flows of refugees to Denmark while maintaining core programs. Now, (April 2023) with the crisis in Ukraine we are engaged with a variety of activities and partner organizations as a result of increased refugee numbers in Denmark and elsewhere. We anticipate a similar level of activity to that of 2014-2018 for the foreseeable future.

Sign up and RSVP for a briefing session to find out more about how you can get involved.
