• A Very Corgi Howloween at Green Lake
Our annual corgi costume walk at Green Lake! :) **We don't know yet when some of the 5K races around Halloween will happen, but it is usually on Sunday. We may have to change time if it conflicts with our event.** DATE: Saturday, October 27th, 2018. TIME: 10:45 AM - We'll "try" to do a group picture. (This is very hard with so many corgis, but we can try!) This will also give us time to see everyone's cute costumes! 11:00 AM - We will start the walk. We will walk counter clockwise around the lake. If you’re running late, you can walk clockwise around the lake till you meet up with the group. LOCATION: Green Lake Craft Center. Meet near the rowing stands (We shouldn't be hard to miss) ADDRESS: 5900 West Green Lake Way N, 98103 PARKING: May be difficult. Green Lake is a popular place and many events are held here. Traffic and parking can sometimes be problematic. Keep in mind that Woodland Park has plenty of parking just above our meeting spot that can be utilized. IMPORTANT NOTES: Let's keep this event fun and safe for all. Please know your dog. Not all dogs like to be dressed up. You do not need to put a costume on your dog if that would cause unneeded stress. Also, be aware that your dog may not like other dogs in costume. Please take extra care when introducing your costumed dog to another costumed dog. Reactions may be a little different than normal. Also feel free to leave at your own discretion. Some corgi’s can only walk 1 mile while others can do the whole 3 miles around the lake. Keep your corgi's well being in mind. Watch out for bikers and runners, as the lake is busy. Be mindful of others while walking your corgi(s). ABOUT THE PARK: Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming.

  • Eastside Meetup - Last Sunday of the Month
CHANGE IN TIME! Come out and say Hello to all the corgis and friends! We will meet near the center of the park where the circular area is cleared with benches and sitting rocks around. Since herding drives will likely be engaged, we may also spill from that point into the large graved area near the river (where there are trash bins and poop bags as well as one of the park bulletin boards). Please remember this is a nonfenced off-leash park. It is important that you are able to keep your dog under control especially near the entrances and parking lots.

  • Magnuson Park Corgi Play Party!
Come play with the pups at Magnuson! Some of you probably know the area, but if you are new - the small-dog area is to the right when you walk through the main gates near the big pavilion. I'll be the one in the company of a friendly blue-merle cardigan. I have dark hair and generally wear glasses. If you are new and would like some introductions I'm always happy to say hi! :-) There is a bench if folks need a place to sit, there are generally a few loose balls in the grass available for games of fetch, and there's water. Hope to see you there!
