Online Physical Theatre Course - free taster class

This is a free taster class for a new 8 week online course in Corporeal Mime. Corporeal Mime is a theatrical art based on the expressive power of the body. First conceived by Etienne Decroux in France in the early 20th century it is an independent art with its own distinctive technique, repertoire and creative processes.

The classes will include technical study to develop your expressive vocabulary, the study of figures from the repertoire of Corporeal Mime, as well as improvisation and composition exercises.

The training is ideal for actors, dancers, performers and anyone interested in physical theatre or corporeal expression. No prior experience of Corporeal Mime or acting is needed in order to participate.

The classes are taught by Tania Coke, co-director of tarinainanika theatre company and the Corporeal Mime School of Performing Arts in Osaka.
