What we’re about
This meetup group is for members whose interested in food and making sincere and heartfelt friends. <br>
We started the group intending expats & local friends to social & professional networks. It was also created to provide the opportunity for expats and locals to get together. Looking forward to explore eateries, restaurants, cafes, clubs, places of interests and perhaps travel with some of us.
We will be having small group gatherings & events so that it is conducive & ideal for making genuine friends & forge lasting friendships.
This is a private meetup group unlike other meetup groups. Memberships are free and attending members pay for their own meals and drinks.
We understand that it takes time to make a friend; a genuine friend. Therefore to keep our gatherings suitable and worthy of friendship-making, our meetup events are kept small and cosy instead of just meeting overwhelming unknown persons who collect phone numbers.
In the interest of everyone in this meetup, the organisers reserve the right to reject joining requests (e.g. due to no recognizable profile photo) and/or remove anyone from this group.
We only have TWO rules when it comes to our Meetups:
1) Be nice to other members.
2) Keep your RSVP updated. RSVP for most of our events ends 24 hours before the event starts. If you change your RSVP after this time then you will be marked as a 'no show' because you deprive others a chance to join. We operate on a 'One strike and you are out' rule
This year we have a zero tolerance stance on no-shows. If you take up a space and do not turn up, you will be removed from the group.
Also, please do not turn up to events if you have not RSVP and accepted. We know you love some of the events but we have to keep things as fair as possible. By turning up to our events unannounced undermines this. Our goal is to make sure everyone has a great time and we set RSVP limits for a reason.
