Join the Cosmos Singapore community in discussions about core modules that enabled smart contract features and interoperability amongst different networks which has enabled new DeFi primitives to flourish within the Cosmos ecosystem.

The event will feature introductions to prominent projects in the space such as dYdX and Persistence which are building within the Cosmos ecosystem, as well as a panel discussion on topics relating to DeFi and governance within a multichain world.

**Cliffton Lee – Governance and Operations, [dYdX](https://dydx.exchange/)**
Cliffton leads all things governance and operations for the dYdX foundation and is a big proponent of DeFi and decentralization. The [dYdX Foundation](https://twitter.com/dydxfoundation) was created to foster community-led growth and self-sustainability of the dYdX protocol. With dYdX building out its own sovereign chain using Cosmos Software Development Kit (SDK), Cliffton is focusing on [decentralized autonomous organization (DAO)](https://www.treehouse.finance/learn-defi/what-are-daos-why-do-they-exist) structuring to progressively decentralize the protocol from end-to-end, as well as understanding how governance under Cosmos will change from its current state under Starkware on [Ethereum](https://www.treehouse.finance/learn-defi/guide-to-ethereum-how-it-started-and-how-it-is-going).

**Tushar Aggarwal – CEO and Founder, [Persistence](https://persistence.one)**
Tushar is building a specialised Layer-1 network powering an ecosystem of DeFi applications focused on unlocking the liquidity of staked assets. A Forbes 30 under 30 recipient, Tushar has extensive expertise across operations, investment, and management consultancy in the financial technology and blockchain industry. Prior to Persistence, he helped set up LuneX Ventures, the crypto VC arm of Golden Gate Ventures, a traditional Asia based VC firm and hosted the Decrypt Asia podcast.

**Sharvin Baindur – Chief of Staff, [Saison Capital](https://www.saisoncapital.com/)**
As Chief of Staff at Saison Capital (VC arm of Credit Saison) with a focus on crypto, Sharvin sources deals and works with portfolio companies, ensuring research is of the highest calibre to make fund/deal specific and strategic decisions for the firm. He started appreciating the world of crypto in 2018 & has been very involved with several DeFi protocols with a hands-on approach with protocols on Aptos, Solana, Ethereum, Avalanche & Arbitrum. He was also a contributor to one of the top performing CLOBs in the ecosystem.

**Michael Ng – Co-founder, [Stakewithus](https://stakewith.us)**
Michael co-founded Stakewithus, a secure staking infrastructure provider for Proof-of-Stake networks. He leads the company’s operations and staking arm, and is working on building out intuitive products for the masses with [Unagii](https://unagii.com). Michael is an angel investor and entrepreneur. He is the Co-Founder of [Stakewithus](http://stakewith.us/) - *a staking infrastructure provider of secured yield solutions for crypto asset investors*, and [Unagii](http://unagii.com/) - *a Web3 and DeFi brand connecting a variety of products and initiatives for explorers seeking new ways to participate across multichain ecosystems*.

Before his current venture, Michael was previously the Co-Founder of an investment advisory firm for blockchain projects and bootstrapped a community management company during the cryptocurrency boom in 2017. He is deeply invested in the Proof-of-Stake ecosystem and is a huge advocator for decentralized finance. And prior to Crypto, Michael started his career as an Analyst at one of the largest Nordic banks in Europe, specializing in institutional debt markets, loan syndication, and FX products.
