Making friends as an adult isn’t always easy.

I moved to Lisbon a few years ago and quickly realised that while it’s easy to meet people, it’s much harder to build genuine friendships. Most of my closest friends live in my hometown or abroad, and between work, busy schedules and everyday life, creating new connections can feel surprisingly difficult.

If you’ve ever felt the same, this group is for you.

Whether you’ve just moved to Lisbon, have lived here for years, work remotely, or simply want to expand your social circle, you’re welcome here.

I’m also completely new to Meetup! This group isn’t about having everything planned from day one—it’s about building a community together. We’ll figure things out as we go, share ideas, and decide as a group what kinds of activities we’d enjoy most.

The goal is simple: create a relaxed, pressure-free space where strangers can become friends.

Some ideas include:
