Lab Skills 101: Plasmid preps and gel electrophoresis

By popular request, we are doing a re-run of our 'Plasmid Purification & Gel Electrophoresis' class.

Join us on Saturday to learn how to extract and purify plasmids from bacteria. Practical lessons will include spin column purification, possibly enzymatic digestion, and how to verify your results by gel electrophoresis. On the theoretical side, we'll cover what plasmids are, what their natural and derived functions are, and how we can manipulate them for our own ends. These are must-have molecular biology skills for all biohackers and DIY biologists.
