Countertop Chants is proud to host Poetry Open Mics that celebrate our craft, art of all mediums, community, and local businesses. Join us once a month for a lively open mic at Winter Hill Brewing in Somerville, MA!

ABOUT THE READING & WHO WE ARE
Poetry for the people. We all deserve time at the mic (and it can even be a vibe!)
This is not a competition or an academic dissertation. There will be no winners, there is no featured poet, and there is no expected format. This is collaboration, community.
Boston has a strong community of artists and writers and they deserve an inclusive space to connect and enjoy their art while still making it a party. We are here to celebrate life, arts, and our community.

Instead of a feature, we have a local musical guest intermission. All art is connected. Let's broaden our mediums, horizons, and friends.
We do book our intermission act in advance. If you are interested in playing acoustic music, doing an interpretative dance, or something that compliments the poetic medium, drop us a line at countertopchants@gmail.com

ABOUT THE SPACE
We are hosting our poetry sessions in the front bar space of Winter Hill Brewing. We are teaming up with local businesses to foster our local artists. There is no cover to get in, but there is a cash/credit card bar and cafe! So please enjoy libations during the reading and have a little fun with us.
