Beginner's Workshop! - $7.00 cover - Elkton, MD - VFW Tuesday Night Lessons!

TUESDAY, Elkton VFW, 2/24, COUNTRY INTERMEDIATE WORKSHOP, at the Elkton, MD VFW, 6:00-7:30, then immediately followed by our regular dance ending at 9:30. During the earlier session I will teach the blockbuster dance COLD HEART, + AMERICAN KIDS or THE WOLF. If you have danced already for about 2 months you must learn these dances as they are played at every country dance in the USA. However, if you are an absolute beginner these dances are not for you. THIS WORKSHOP is also perfect for those who kind of already know these dances but who could use a review. I will be very patient + teach at a slow pace. There is no additional cost for this Workshop, but everyone must pay the usual $7 cost of attending this dance. The one fee will cover both the early session + the regular dance to follow. #countrylinedancing

At 7:30 the regular weekly dance will start (and will run until 9:30 pm).

URGENT NOTE: SIGN-IN immediately as you enter the door. As a Fraternal Charity, the VFW is strictly "members only" and all guests MUST Please sign the Sign-In Logbook in order for the VFW to not get in trouble with the state auditors who require the Visitors Log to be enforced. Everyone, please follow this rule of the VFW. Thank you! (Also - DO NOT ENTER the rear glass doors directly into the Dance Hall. We must all enter the VFW via the bar entrance ONLY, and immediately Sign-In at the door.

Please say Thank You with an appropriate Tip every time you get food or drinks - You may not be aware, but the bartender and kitchen help are Volunteers at the VFW serving our Veterans and guests (like us) who come to the VFW - they don't get any pay whatsoever for their work, so your Tips are all they get.

• Order your food no later than 7:50 pm! The kitchen food service stops early, so you must put your order in by 7:50, so please do not complain if they tell you the kitchen is already closed. This has been a problem for the staff, so please Be Kind and cooperate.

Finally - please be patient and kind as the service can be slow especially when cooking burgers because they must be cooked all the way through! We really must be patient for our food orders to be delivered, as usually there is only one person working in the kitchen. If you order burgers, it takes a longer time than most other food orders, so 3-4 people who order behind you and don't order burgers will get their food before you. Let's all be mindful of being extra kind to the VFW Volunteers and help out. Thank you!!

Cover Charge is $7.00 for dancing (free to sit and watch).
