Mountain View: Grill the Committee Panel

Details
We've got a great panel of ISO C++ standards committee members this week! The broad themes of discussion will be concurrency and the standard library. Attendees are encouraged to come with questions or topics for the panel - or, better yet, send them to Bryce Adelstein Lelbach by email or meetup message.
The panelists are:
JF Bastien is a Jest-in-Time compiler on Google’s Chrome web browser, currently focusing on performance and security to bring portable, fast and secure code to the Web. JF is a member of the C++ standards committee, where his mechanical engineering degree serves little purpose. He’s worked on startup incubators, business jets, flight simulators, CPUs, dynamic binary translation, systems, and compilers.
Olivier Giroux is a principal engineer at NVIDIA and a member of the C++ standards committee. His main focus is to prove and improve the soundness of the GPU’s programming model, nominally for business reasons and usually by changing the architecture. He majored in mechanical engineering.
Jeffrey Yasskin is a software engineer on the Chrome team at Google. He is the chair of the Library Evolution Working Group (LEWG) of the C++ standards committee.
Bryce Adelstein Lelbach (moderator) is a researcher at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), a US Department of Energy research facility. Working alongside a team of hardware engineers, mathematicians and physicists, he develops and analyzes new parallel programming models for exascale and post-Moore architectures. Bryce is one of the developers of the HPX C++ runtime system; he spent five years working on HPX while he was at Louisiana State University's Center for Computation and Technology. He also helped start the LLVMLinux initiative, and has occasionally contributed to the Boost C++ libraries. Bryce is an organizer for C++Now and CppCon conferences as well as various Bay Area C++ user groups, and he is passionate about C++ community development. He serves as LBNL's representative to the C++ standards committee.
