WTF is Build.Zig?

Zig is a modern system programming with a unique value proposition for C/C++ in that it allows you to use a Zig source code instead of Makefiles to build new or existing C/C++ programs. In other words, Zig can also be used as part of the build toolchain. Companies such as Uber have converted or are in the process of converting large C/C++ mono repos to be built by Zig.

In this talk, we will use Zig programs to build and cross-compile Zig, C, and C++ programs and then go deeper into some of the new capabilities of Zig such as the new Package Manager and finally we will see what future direction Zig is going in its cross-compilation capabilities.

No prior Zig knowledge is assumed so we will start with the basics.
