We'd like to invite you to a special community DOUBLE FEATURE! 🎬
Part 1: Gone in 30 Minutes
René Paris and Helmut Hlavacs will kick off things while the memories are still fresh, sharing their personal highlights from the recent Meeting C++ 2025 conference. A compressed version of three intense days of newest C++ insights in about 30 minutes 👟
✨ But wait, there’s more!
Part 2: The Return of the Unknown
Thomas Mejstrik takes us into the realm of template return argument deduction, as suggested in his paper P3747. Starting with a refresher on the fundamentals of template argument deduction (tales from function calls and conversion function templates), he guides us through current limitations of deduction rules and how the proposed changes to C++ will simplify code, reduce boilerplate, and improve expressiveness; By clever reuses of existing deduction mechanisms without break existing code. Meet the artist himself in an an open discussion and give him the proper audience, like a true C++ committee. So bring your questions and challenge his reality on sane C++.
🚨 All jokes aside: Help us to gather honest feedback on his proposal. Return insights and delete bad ideas and finally we might find out whether the idea should move forward or simply go to void.
- We appreciate any voluntary donations on-site.
