About us

Welcome to Craft & Connect! 🌿✨
I recently started Craft & Connect, a space for the Ottawa community to come together, create, exchange ideas, meet new people, and simply have something fun to look forward to.
I’ll be hosting different market events, workshops, and themed gatherings throughout the year. Each event will have its own theme and activities, with opportunities to discover local vendors and small businesses, shop local, and take part in hands-on workshops where you can create something of your own.
Workshops can also be a great icebreaker! 🫶 Sometimes it’s hard to walk up to someone new and start a conversation, but creating something together gives you a natural way to connect, chat, and meet people.
My first event will be a Family Bazaar, welcoming families with kids as well as adults who simply enjoy markets, crafts, and community events. And this is just the beginning — I’ll be introducing different themes and events for women, adults, families, and anyone in Ottawa looking for something new to do and people to connect with.
Entry to Craft & Connect events will always be free, with optional opportunities to support local vendors and participate in workshops.

🌿 About the Event

Sometimes, we just need a little opportunity to get together, meet new people, and connect. 💛 The Family Bazaar is a small, cozy community gathering where you can come with family or friends, enjoy some activities, discover local businesses, and spend some time together.

Entry is free! You’re welcome to come and enjoy the event, and if you’d like, you can support local by shopping with our vendors or taking part in one of the workshops.

🎨 What to Expect

👧 Kids’ STEM Robotics Workshop — a fun, hands-on activity where children can explore STEM and robotics.

🔗 Adult & Child Keychain Workshop — create a keychain for yourself as an adult, or if you have a child with you, you can make one together. Choose a style that suits you and get creative!

🎨 Mandala Pumpkin Art — create a beautiful mandala pumpkin piece to take home and enjoy as part of your fall décor. 🍂

🖌️ Watercolor Workshop — take some time to be creative, learn something new, and create your own piece.

🌿 Henna — enjoy beautiful henna designs and add a little something special to your day.

🛍️ Local Vendors — browse and shop from local small businesses and discover something unique.

☕ Coffee & Matcha — enjoy freshly made drinks while you browse and connect.

🧁 Baked Goods & Treats — pick up something delicious from our local vendors.

And of course, there will be tons of other vendors, activities, and things to see and enjoy.

The workshops are also a nice way to break the ice—you can sit down, create something, learn a skill, and naturally connect with the people around you.
