About us
Crafting Warmth is a community of makers coming together to turn care into action. We gather to knit Melt the ICE hats, sell them, and donate all proceeds to immigrant aid and advocacy organizations. Our work creates both material support and a visible symbol of solidarity — warmth made by many hands, offered with intention. Cast on, not out.
We welcome knitters, crocheters, and crafters of all skill levels, as well as anyone looking for a meaningful way to show up for immigrant communities. Whether you’re an experienced maker or just learning, this is a space rooted in generosity, connection, and shared purpose.
At our gatherings, we craft together in a relaxed, welcoming environment — making hats, sharing skills, and building community. Alongside the making, we create space to learn about the organizations we support and to be together in a way that feels grounding and hopeful. Crafting Warmth exists to help us feel less alone, less helpless, and more connected — to each other and to the values we care about.
Member dues are only meant to cover Meetups fees. Any funds in excess of the fees with be used to purchase supplies for members or donated.

Craft & Connect: Knit or Crochet at Edgewater Public Market
Edgewater Public Market, 5505 W. 20th Ave,, Edgewater, CO, USJoin me for a peaceful knitting and crocheting get-together at Edgewater Public Market! I’m not an expert knitter — just someone who wants to do more — and I’d love to meet others who feel the same. This is a chance to connect with like-minded people, share skills, and create something meaningful together.
We’ll be making Melt the ICE hats — patterns are available here: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/melt-the-ice-hat — with all proceeds going to immigrant aid agencies, who will distribute funds to those impacted by ICE actions. There’s a crochet version as well. If supply costs are a barrier, please reach out — I’m happy to bring extra yarn and materials as needed. And if you’d like to help with organizing or planning future gatherings, your support would be greatly appreciated. Come for the crafting, stay for the community, and help us turn care into action! Hoping to make this a weekly meetup but could use some help to make that happen.
