About us
Are you craving deeper connections in life? Not only with other people, but within yourself, the environment around you, the physical world you live in, the infinite universe, or The Divine itself? Our hope is to create opportunities for you to experience the connections that will allow you to find more satisfaction and wholeness in your life.
Whether you feel it through your mind, your body, or inner being, deep connection eludes many of us, in part due to the noise of the distractions around us every day, like technology, social media, cultural expectations, schedules too busy to manage, and more, that can all dampen our ability to make the very connections we're craving for in our everyday lives.
Through mindful, meaningful, and spiritual conversations, we hope to create a better world for all of us, one small step at a time, and our Nurturing Spirit Retreats provide an opportunity for meditation, gentle yoga, deep relaxation, spiritual conversations, and learning.
We are inclusive and value each person and living being on the planet. For more information or to find a group near you, please contact Debra@CreatingConnection.ca
We look forward to meeting you!

Release Your Inner Writer - Monday's at 4pm pacific, 5pm mountain, 6pm central
·OnlineOnlineRelease Your Inner Writer
Release Your Inner Writer is for anyone who feels the call to write. Whether you are a writer, want to be a writer, or want to explore writing in a comfortable and supportive setting. Our purpose here is just to set aside some time for inspiration and creativity and maintain a writing practice. We’ll set the stage for you to write creatively with opportunities to share with the group, or not, whatever you’re comfortable with.
Have you ever thought: “I have an interesting story, but I don’t know how to start sharing it with people” Do you simply want to start journaling? Every person has a story to share, and all of them are transformational for us and sometimes for others. When we write our thoughts and ideas down, we move internal content to an external device like a notebook or a laptop. By doing this we’re able to clear our heads and uncover one layer after another.Hosted by Kathy Nutt
Kathy Nutt is a creative who uses many media and styles to convey a glimpse into her mysterious, whimsical world. Although mainly focused on the visual arts, she dabbles in the written word and is endeavoring to cultivate a consistent practice of writing, whether it be poetry, essays, short stories, or journaling.Kathy believes a writing practice (along with any creative practice) is a beneficial way to break through the mundane and view our worlds through fresh new eyes. We may discover a breakthrough, change a pattern, or just experience catharsis. Or we may simply arrive in a place of joy. She believes the creative process is more important than the finished product and that creativity is for everyone, not just the gifted few.
CREATING CONNECTION CANADA is a network of welcoming and inclusive communities committed to sharing authentic conversation, nurturing meaningful activities, promoting holistic wellness practices, and fostering compassionate action. We are LGBTQ+ affirming. People of every walk of life, culture, faith, or tradition, participate in a myriad of connection groups, forming meaningful community within this diversity. As a result, these communities are multi-faceted - expressing the inspirations, aspirations, wisdom, practices, and blessing of all. While we encourage you to share openly, we ask that you do so in a kind and considerate manner.

Leah.p.christensen@gmail.comAbout World Accord
For nearly 50 years, World Accord https://worldaccord.org/ has been a Canadian partner in global change, supporting community-led initiatives, empowering women and girls, and helping build resilient communities around the world. The funds raised through this event will go directly to World Accord and support one of its five local partner organizations working in Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ethiopia, and Nepal. These grassroots partners lead programs that address education, economic opportunity, health, and community development.
All donations are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
World Accord’s vision is simple yet powerful:
“Cultivating communities that thrive.”
Research and experience consistently show that when women and girls gain access to education, literacy, and economic opportunities, the benefits extend far beyond the individual—strengthening families, improving livelihoods, and creating lasting positive change throughout entire communities.
Our Fundraising Goal
This year, Benjamin and Nathan will participate in Accord Adventures, departing for Honduras on August 20. Together, they are committed to raising $10,000 before they leave—$5,000 each—to support World Accord’s partner programs. They will be joining a team of seven participants, led by two young women and accompanied by five other volunteers. All but one team member is under the age of 30. Each participant is personally responsible for covering their own travel and in-country expenses, in addition to raising $5,000 to support World Accord’s work.
Every contribution helps create opportunities for individuals, families, and communities to build a stronger future.
Are you interested in participating in a future World Accord Adventure Trip? Go to https://worldaccord.org/ or reach out to Leah at Leah.p.christensen@gmail.com
World Accord Canada offers an exclusive immersive travel program called "Accord Adventures," which takes participants to visit partner communities in developing countries. These purpose-driven learning trips allow Canadians to connect with locals and learn directly about international development projects.
Rather than commercial holidays, these trips focus on community connection, capacity building, and sustainable development. These tours combine a travel experience with the opportunity to understand global development and social empowerment from the inside out.
World Accord staff will be on hand to provide information about the Accord Adventures program and answer any questions about the tours.
