About us

Creative Check-In is a casual online accountability community for writers, artists, musicians, and other creatives who want a simple way to stay connected to their work.

The daily sessions are brief and focused. In the morning, we say what we intend to work on. In the evening, we check back in and say what happened. Done, partly done, changed direction, or didn’t get to it are all acceptable. The point is to stay honest, visible, and moving.

The format is simple: say the thing, do the thing, come back and report what happened.

This is designed for accountability, not critique, workshops, classes, or networking. The goal is to keep the daily check ins focused, so we won’t share work, read pieces aloud, critique, or discuss projects during these sessions.

You can be writing a novel, sketching, painting, composing music, editing video, building a creative business, organizing a portfolio, or just trying to rebuild a consistent creative habit.

The goal is low pressure accountability, not perfection. Show up when you can. Set a clear intention. Make progress. Reset when needed. Then come back and keep going.

Regular sessions may include Say the Thing, The Thing Report, weekly intention sessions, and creative debriefs.

Future sessions may include optional work sharing or discussion events, but the core check ins will stay simple and focused.

This is a private Meetup group to help keep the space focused, respectful, and aligned with the purpose of the community.

We also have a private Facebook group for daily accountability posts between live sessions.
