Show and Tell Social

NEW TIME AND PLACE
We're back with another Creative Coding 'Show and Tell' session this month. This time at The Fat Cat, starting from 7:30pm. We will be in the upstairs function room and have the ability to connect to their TV, if anyone wants to share their screen to demo.
Latecomers welcome, feel free to pop in and out.
What goes on at these sessions? We're a bunch of creatively focussed people that work with or near programming and we all meet up in a room with a TV and some speakers and share the projects we're working on / interested in with each other.
There's no requirement whatsoever to share anything - it's totally fine to come along just to see what others are doing and meet other creative coders.
If you have something to show or share with us, please do bring it along. We will be able to connect to the TV for you to share your screen for any demos.
Note, if you're just curious and want to see what others are doing - there's absolutely no pressure to show anything - just come along.
The core idea is to draw inspiration from, encourage and ultimately learn from each other. No project is too basic or too sophisticated - we welcome it all.
There's no formal format for this event other than talks are limited to 20 minutes each - it will very much be adhoc and unconferency. However, if you do have something you'd like to show and have any questions - feel free to reach out to me beforehand and I'll help you in any way I can.
So far we've had wonderful demonstrations of :
- 3d modelling (with blender)
- web browsers with structured history
- live coding systems for education
- deterministic game character generation
- realtime analysis techniques for modelling signals
- projection-mapping
- code hygiene analysis
- an introduction to manipulating visuals with Tooll3
- generating 3D terrain images of the UK from open data
- convolution cellular automata
- breathing life into an ancient plotter
- an introduction to VJing with Touch Designer
- AI generated music videos that worked with the beat
- a web-based guitar tutor aid
- raved to an amazing jungle live coded music performance
- explored the mathematics of infectious diseases through the analogy of a card game
- played colour games with AI
- explored visual programming languages and more...
Really looking forward to seeing what you're all creatively coding!
