Full Blood Moon (Total Eclipse) - Free

Let's shoot the upcoming full blood Moon! The eclipse starts at 11:58 PM on 3/13/2025 and ends around 6:00 AM on 3/14/2025. Totality will be between 2:30 AM and 3:30 AM.

I will be shooting in Scofieldtown Park at 672 Scofieldtown Road in Stamford, CT. I have shot lots of late night astro events from the park. We have never been asked to leave.

The park entrance is on Rock Rimmon Road. Take High Ridge to Scofieldtown Road. Make a left at Rock Rimmon Road. Take the first right into the parking lot. It is a dirt lot so drive slow.

The moon will be very high in the sky, so we won't be shooting it over anything. Bring your camera with a telephoto lens, a sturdy tripod and a remote shutter release.
