Flower Moon over Five Mile Point Lighthouse on 5/12/2025

We will be meeting in West Haven to shoot the full moon over the Five Mile Point lighthouse. The sun will set at 8:01 pm that day and the moon will be directly behind the lighthouse at 8:30 pm. That should give us terrific lighting conditions. We will be 1.7 miles from the lighthouse. The moon will appear to be 77 feet in diameter versus the 80 foot lighthouse. Your minimum full frame equivalent should be 400mm.

We will meet in the West Haven Little League parking lot. The address is 183 Beach St. West Haven, CT. Please pay the $40 fee on site. The parking lot is just past the address 183 Beach St. There is a .25 mile walk on the beach to get to the shooting spot.
