Hi! I'm Renee. After 12+years of teaching art, poetry, theater, and improv, I'm bringing creative ARTS & PLAY to ADULTS.
Society often says play is only for children, but my goal is to use play, art, & creativity as a self development tool for adults - growing in authentic expression, connection, embodiment, and overall personal agency.
Social media and Netflix leave us empty and drained.
Participatory creative play leaves us energized and feeling alive again.
- Since everyone has their own unique play personalities, I strive to use many different modes of creative play to engage and challenge everyone. These modes include drawing, music, writing, poetry, storytelling, inventing, problem solving, puzzles, improv, and body movement.
NOTE: Participants DO NOT need to be "skilled" in any of these modes- this is an opportunity to play at your level without the inner critic yelling at you to "make a good product". The WHOLE POINT of these workshops is to strengthen your ability to learn through play and expand your growth mindset.
ONLINE WORKSHOPS: Each online workshop is a little over an hour and a half long. We meet on zoom once a month. They are free to attend, but I ask for a $5-10 donation.
IN PERSON WORKSHOPS: In person workshops ARE LIVE downtown at the Arizona Center. Here's the link for tickets:
