About us
Welcome to Crescendo Counselling's community space.
Sadie Smith (they, them) is a registered counsellor and music and imagery therapy practitioner. They facilitate Crescendo Counselling grounded in person-centred, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive work. Sadie believes healing isn't just individual, it's collective. This group is where that happens.
Sadie works with politically conscious, justice-minded folks using Guided Imagery and Music (GIM), talk therapy, and community-based healing practices. They work with your whole self: your rage, your hope, your politics, your creativity, your exhaustion.
What this group is: A space for community care in action. Hosting workshops, creative events, skill-shares, and gatherings designed to build collective healing and resistance. This isn't therapy in a group setting, it's community building grounded in therapeutic principles.
Who this is for:
- Politically conscious people who believe activism needs community
- Creatively-minded folks who process through art, music, movement
- Folks tired of individual solutions to systemic problems
- Queer, BIPOC, disabled, and other marginalized folks seeking anti-oppressive space and their allies.
- Anyone who thinks healing and resistance go together
What to expect: Events range from protest sign workshops to creative gatherings to skill-shares on trauma, activism, and community care.
All events are:
- Trauma-informed & person-centred
- Anti-oppressive & explicitly queer/BIPOC-friendly
- Donation-based or free (no financial barriers)
- Grounded in harm-reduction principles
Held with care for your whole self
