Blue Like Jazz (first discussion!)

Hey there!

We are a couple of Zoomers that want a Christian book club where we can make friends and also talk and learn about things outside of work and relationships--spiritual matters like what happens after we die, what's the purpose of life, etc.

Our first book discussion will be on Friday, February 21, 7 PM @ Barnes and Noble Vernon Hills. We will be starting our new book, Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality by Don Miller.

We will discuss Chapter 1 ("Beginnings: God on a Dirt Road Walking Toward Me") and Chapter 2 ("Problems: What I Learned on Television") of the book.

If you have not had a chance to read these two chapters yet, don't worry--just come anyway. At every book club meeting we expect visitors and newcomers and so we'll always provide a one-page summary of the reading so that anyone can join in the discussion. And of course, feel free to invite friends.
