Welcome message from the founder:
“I became a Christian when I was 15, through a novel called Heidi. Prior to that, I always had the idea that if God existed, He would be amazing and powerful, and therefore would be enjoying Himself wherever He was—there was no reason a majestic God would be interested in me.
So I was deeply intrigued when I read the novel Heidi, which was about a little girl who journeyed to the Swiss Alps to live with her grandfather—most people who've heard of the book don't realise it talks about God.
I accepted Jesus quickly after, and He has changed my life.
Indeed, things were going well in my life before I knew Him. But He has changed my life in the way I deal with circumstances, in the way I perceive reality, and in the purpose I have. He has changed everything.
One of the most important things as Christians is the way we walk, the way we live each day and each moment. In creating this group, I hope to provide a safe environment for casual and meaningful conversations, as we explore and enjoy the wonderful creation He has blessed us with.
No matter your current relationship with God, and no matter what your age, I hope you will join us for a walk. And if you're just wondering about God, I hope you'll join us too.
I've decided to name this group Crossroads, because this is what the group will be. We might only see each other once, but I hope that our encounter will bring life to one another, and to the people that surround us.
