About us
We are a long-established group, meeting on the second Monday of each month at 7.30 p.m. in St Mildred's Centre, Addiscombe (except in August and December when we have social meetings!)
We also meet in the ClockTower Cafe on Saturday mornings - check the website at Croydon Writers for details.
Our aim is to offer a supportive space for all writers, young, older, those starting out and the more experienced, to come together to share and develop their writing . All genres are equally valued, from fiction writing (novels, short stories, screenplays) to poetry, creative nonfiction and travel, writing for publication or for the pleasure and therapeutic benefits of self-expression through the written word.
Monthly meetings are varied and sociable. We hope you enjoy what we have to offer!

Shaniqua Benjamin
St Mildred's Church Hall, Bingham Road, Croydon, CR0 7EB, Croydon, GBAt our meeting on 13 July Shaniqua Benjamin will talk about her writing and about being Croydon’s first poet laureate. Besides being an accomplished performer and poet, Shaniqua is a skilled consultant and facilitator, and it should be a very interesting meeting.
