Panelists:
Jonmichael Hands, VP of Storage Business Development at Chia Project

Jonmichael Hands is currently serving as the VP of Storage Business Development at Chia. He partners with the storage vendors for Chia optimized product development, market modeling, and Chia blockchain integration. JM spent the last ten years at Intel in the Non-Volatile Memory Solutions group working on product line management, strategic planning, and technical marketing for the Intel data center SSDs. In addition, he served as the chair for NVM Express (NVMe), SNIA (Storage Networking Industry Association) SSD special interest group, and Open Compute Project for open storage hardware innovation. JM started his storage career at Sun Microsystems designing storage arrays (JBODs) and holds an electrical engineering degree from the Colorado School of Mines.

Matthew Sevey, Software Engineering Manager for Skynet Labs and Sia Project

Matthew has extensive experience in building blockchain platforms and knowledge in cloud computing and elastic clouds

Valentin Bercovici, Chainkit Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Valentin (Val) Bercovici is Chairman of the PencilDATA group and CEO of CyberSecurity startup Chainkit. Val created NetApp's Cloud Strategy, before becoming CTO of NetApp/SolidFire. Val also helped Google open source Borg as Kubernetes, while a founding member of the CNCF board. Prior to that, working with Mark Carlson & David Slik, Val introduced CDMI to the world as Chair of the SNIA Cloud Storage Initiative.

Steve Todd, VP of Data Innovation and Strategy, Dell Technologies

Steve Todd is the Vice President of Data Innovation and Strategy in the Dell Technologies Office of the CTO. He is a long-time inventor in high tech, having filed over 300 patent applications with the USPTO, and his innovations and inventions have generated tens of billions of dollars in global customer purchases. Steve actively researches the value of data and is currently the Head of the Data Office focused on extracting new forms of value from internal data assets. Most recently, Steve co-founded and launched Project Alvarium, an open-source research platform for valuing trustworthy data in a data confidence fabric (DCF). Steve is a Dell Technologies’ Fellow with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire.

Parmeshwr Prasad , Principal Engineer at Dell, Co-Chair for SNIA Blockchain TWG

Parmeshwr Prasad is associated with DellEMC server division from past nine years. He has more than 14 years of experience in embedded system, servers, cloud, ML, blockchain and Open Source. He has been always passionate about new technologies. Keen passion for continuous learning, innovation and adoption of new ideas from lateral technology domains. He owns Patents (Currently 51) across diverse areas covering UEFI, ESRT, NVDIMM, Apache-Pass, neural-network, blockchain and PCIe. He is an active contributor in different communities such as Gen-Z, NVST, SNIA, HMST etc. He is also involved in designing some of the latest technology specs.
