Residential and mobile IP proxy networks are becoming a preferred tactic for sophisticated bot operators looking to evade traditional web application defenses. By masking malicious traffic as legitimate user activity, these networks make detection far more difficult and reduce the effectiveness of IP reputation and rate-limiting controls.
In this keynote, Vasanth Balakrishnan, Senior Partner Solutions Engineer at Cloudflare, will break down how residential proxy networks operate, why they are so difficult to identify, and what security teams need to consider as they work to strengthen bot mitigation without disrupting the user experience or increasing false positives.
