Speaker’s Bio:
Dr. Glen Qin graduated from Tsinghua University (Beijing) and got his Ph.D. degree from UC Berkeley in EECS. He has been working in the network, security, IoT, data mining, and artificial intelligence for about 20 years.
Dr. Qin started his career as a software engineer and has gradually moved to management roles. He has been working at Bell Labs, ATT labs, and some small to mid-sized companies, like Optimal Networks and Netgear. He has also joined a few startup companies as a founding engineer. Meanwhile Dr. Qin has also been teaching networks, security, and data science courses since 2001.
In 2011, together with a few co-workers, Dr. Qin founded California Science and Technology University (CSTU) and has been the president of the CSTU ever since. CSTU focuses on the emerging technologies. Data Science and Artificial Intelligence are the core of CSTU’s curriculum.
