Important please note change in starting point and route. Weather forecast says we would be facing high head winds 15 mph and gusting stronger for the entire route, we will ride in glasgow to edinburgh which would give us a tailwind and i have reworked the ride so that it will be completed mainly on bike paths old rail way tracks. Banana stop Coatbridge Asda for coffee/toilets 11.4 miles

Armadale Asda coffee/toilets & Costa coffee at 28 miles,
Lunch at The Rowan Tree pub Armadale Just along the road from ASDA has a beer garden

(Armadale train station also has trains to Queen Street at approx 14 and 44 minutes past the hour, so is a convenient bail out point, journey takes 46 minutes)

Broxburn has a variety of cafes at 39.5 miles (cafe 66, Dottys & Starbucks)

Edinburgh 54 miles for most things you could wish for and probably quite a lot that you would rather not
