Tuesday trip up the Tak Me Doon

Should be a lovely early spring run from Stockingfield bridge, along the canal to Kilsyth, then the Tak Me Doon road over to the Carron valley, Fintry, Balfron, Killearn, Mugdock and return down the Kelvin walkway into Glasgow. Mostly flat along the canal, or with a tailwind up the Carron valley but a very noticeable hill up the Tak and a reminder for your thighs near the end up to Mugdock. 50 miles.

(note that although this plot takes some short sections on off-road tracks, we plan to stay on the tarmaced roads.)

Possible cafe stops at kilsyth fintry or killearn, but wise to bring snacks, drink etc.
