The Five Corners of Bute

A visit to the beautiful Island of Bute:
Distance: 52 miles (84 km)
Elevation: 2100 feet (640 m)
Time: 4.30 h of cycling

Meet in Central Station at 07.35 for 07.47 train to Wemyss Bay, arrive 08.46 and catch ferry at 09.05 - arriving Rothesay at 09.40.

Ferries back depart Rothesay on the hour (1600, 1700 etc) and return trains from Wemyss Bay at 1657, 1800 etc. The trains take almost exactly 1 hour to Glasgow (i.e. ferry + train = 2 hours). Barring delays from mechanicals etc, I will aim for us to catch the ferry at 1600.

If there's a consensus to do so, we will start with an optional climb up the Serpentine!
