About us

Cuddlefish is a platonic cuddle community for adults in the greater Seattle area, with events currently hosted about 25 minutes drive north of Seattle, near Lake Stickney. We have been meeting for years, and always welcome new members.

Humans need touch. Most adults, though, only get casual non-romantic touch from family, partners, or paid massage — which leaves a real gap. Cuddlefish exists to fill it: a warm, consent-based space for the simple comfort of human connection, without the expectations or performance that often come with dating and other social settings.

Our events are entirely platonic, fully clothed, sober, and built around enthusiastic, verbal consent. We draw inspiration from established communities in this space — including Cuddle Party, Cuddlist, and Happy Humanimals — which have spent years developing safe, consent-first frameworks for adult touch.

What a gathering looks like:

  • A brief welcome circle to set the tone, review consent guidelines, and introduce everyone
  • Open cuddle time — hold hands, spoon, lean on a shoulder, share back rubs, listen quietly, or just rest near others
  • Designated cuddlers happy to cuddle anyone, and a quieter space if you need a breather
  • Snacks, tea, coffee, and water provided

What it isn't: not a workshop, not a class, not a dating event, and nothing sexual.
If you would like to start with a more guided introduction to cuddling and consent concepts, we highly recommend the Happy Humanimals events, which you can find on Eventbrite.

Logistics: Donation-based (Free first cuddle party for all new people, $20 suggested after that, volunteering option available). Pajamas or cozy clothes encouraged. 18+. Hosted in a private home. Doors close when the welcome circle begins so the group can hold space together, but that's only for arrivals, people leave whenever works for them.

Run by three volunteer admins. New attendees are asked to complete a short consent & guidelines orientation (about 5 minutes) before their first event. You can check that out here - https://tally.so/r/A7Qp8k

If you've ever missed the kind of simple, warm human contact you don't have to perform for or explain — come check us out.
