Competitive Sand Volleyball Social!
Looking to play some fun competitive volleyball?
Come join us!
This is a great way to make new friends, network, or even meet other singles while having fun playing volleyball!
We are a small friendly group!
Please be mindful that this group is for competitive volleyball games even though it is a social and beginners friendly, so we expect players to hustle so we could have good rallies.
Note:
ALL PLAYERS MUST PAY BEFORE PLAYING. Please also sign in on clipboard when you get there. It is hanging on pole of volleyball court that I will announce on day of meetup.
Please come to see me, and I will place you on a team. DO NOT just enter a court and start playing without checking with me.
Fee must be paid as soon as you sign up AND before the meetup starts, even If you come late. You are welcome to come play between the scheduled hours.
***$10 per person. This helps in paying booking costs, supplies, etc.
⭕️You are responsible for paying for your guest(s) or that they have paid. I prefer to not handle cash and will not have change.****
I do NOT work for the venue and have to pay out of my own money to reserve the courts in advance for guaranteed space for us so I expect for everyone to pay before you play. 😅
🔺You may do Cash App, Revolut, Venmo, or Zelle the fee directly to me (Sandra Mai) at 713-485-9822.
If paying by cash 💵, please have your cash ready to give to me when you arrive. If I am playing at the time, you will need to wait to give it to me during a short break before a serve. Do not proceed to playing in a team before giving me the cash and signing in.
🏐We usually do teams of 3’s, 4’s, 5’s, and 6’s depending on how many people there are at the time.
In general, if one team is in queue: The winner of the game plays again. After winning two games in a row, that team sits out the next game even if wins the third game, and the next team from the queue plays against the team that played once on that court.
If two teams or more are in queue: All teams rotate in and out. The waiting is not long at all if your team is in queue, around 2-10 min. I reserve the right to change this to maximize players’ time and/or according to skill level.
- Please be courteous and try to play entire game once you start so you're not interrupting the game being in and out often unless you are subbing for the team(s).
2.🛑If you're a beginner, you must know the basics of how to serve and pass the ball to join.
Let's improve our skills, get a good workout, network, meet new people, and/or have language/culture exchange while having fun playing volleyball! :-)
