Whether you're first-gen or second-gen, this group is for anyone who wants to:
- Attend indie South Asian films, theatre, and music shows
- Support desi artists and creatives coming through our city
- Share cultural pride in ways that feel authentic, not forced. Like home.
- Build meaningful connections and gaining new perspectives within the diaspora

White Lion, Brown Tiger – A Sri Lankan–Canadian Black Comedy
Teesri Duniya Theatre, 51 Avenue des Pins Ouest #148 Montreal, QC H2W 1R5, Montreal, QC, CAThis is a bit of a spontaneous outing!! We’re catching White Lion, Brown Tiger - the first Sri Lankan‑Canadian 🇱🇰 produced play in Montréal - in one of its final performances before the run ends. So if you’ve been meaning to support local South Asian theatre, this is your chance!
- We’ll meet around 6:45 PM in the theatre lobby to connect before the show starts.
- The performance runs for about 1 hour, followed by a 30-minute artist talkback, for a greater chance to engage deeper with the themes and process.
- Masks are mandatory inside the venue — so please bring one!
- Optional: After the show and talkback, we’ll head to a nearby café or bar for a casual post-show debrief for those who’d like to continue the convo and meet some folks.
- This is a chill, no-pressure event. Just a group of us enjoying meaningful art and supporting local South Asian voices.
