Changing beliefs about remote travel! I’ve always been curious but, as an Affrican American, was hesitant to travel to some parts of the world. But, once I started to travel beyond Europe and the Caribbean, I understood the role that exotic travel can play in satisfying my curiosity about life, regardless of my ethicinity.
The first time I traveled to Southeast Asia was an eye opening and mind blowing experience. In Mai Chau, everything is so much greener, and the rice fields are everywhere! And then, there I was… bicycling through the fields and witnessing Vietnamese women work the rice paddys. It was truly surreal and changed my whole life!
Now I can’t imagine my life without the ability to travel to some far away place! It makes all the difference in my happiness and personal growth! I truly believe that now!
I'm starting this community bring together like-minded travelers and to inspire people to stretch their travel muscles by exploring new and different destinations.
This group is for you if you are interested and have the means to travel internationally, but may not feel confident or comfortable traveling to new exotic places around the world. There's power in learning and traveling together! We;ll explore potential opportunities to travel together, while feeling totally save, confident and even pampered!
Each month, we'll have virtual and in person activities to learn about different remote cultures (Eastern Europe, Middle East, Africa, South America) and explore opportunities for actual travel to these remote places.
