America Beyond 250: Truth, History, and the Politics of American Memory
Details
Hi y'all, letting you know about this email I got, not sure who's a member of AA [this one] but if not, it's worth joining imho:
American Atheists is bringing a timely and important conversation online that you won’t want to miss! America Beyond 250: Truth, History, and the Politics of American Memory will explore a question that’s getting harder and harder to ignore: Who gets to write the American story?
From a live event in Philly, hear from experts Sean Connolly, Executive Director of the Arch Street Meeting House Preservation Trust, and David Krueger, Executive Director of the Dialogue Institute at Temple University, and our own Nick Fish. This panel's lively conversation explores democracy, pluralism, and the competing visions shaping our past, present, and future. Debates over history, identity, and belonging are intensifying at all levels. And they’re no longer confined to academia but shaping the laws and policies that govern us all. They discuss how we got here and what comes next.
This members-only event is free to attend, but registration is required! And if you’re able to, please consider making a donation today to help ensure American Atheists can keep bringing together experts and leaders for important dialogues like this that challenge the status quo, promote understanding, and inspire action.
