Guest Speaker – Clark Hobbie (https://www.linkedin.com/in/clark-hobbie-a206613/)
Clark Hobbie has been doing software development for over 20 years. He has spent the last few years working on the predecessor of Miranda (a system called Prospero or SubPub). He has given several talks at DOSUG and DAMJUG.
Our boss wants “9 9s of reliability” for our systems, but this means less than 30 milliseconds of downtime a year! This talk introduces Miranda, a new open source system written in Java that gives the systems behind it the appearance of reliability without the costs. The talk goes over why Miranda was created, how it works, why it’s reliable and how it does this securely.
This meetup will take place at SecureSet Academy, the leader in Cybersecurity Bootcamp education.
