What we’re about
“Cycling for our Lives” is a community event sponsored by the Council of Churches of Greater Washington. With their support, our mission is to gain the attention of other churches, organizations, and city officials to bring awareness and help in the fight to end gun violence in our communities, schools, and churches through cycling. We seek to join forces with other organizations who share the same vision and to help support their mission of ending gun violence community by community.
WE WANT TO ACCOMPLISH
-Bringing awareness to gun violence on local and national levels;
-Support non-profit organizations that need our support;
-Partnerships to further embark on the epidemic of gun violence;
-Accountability for elected officials in fighting the leading cause of death among young people in America;
-Collaboration to make an impact on gun legislation that is more stringent to keep communities safe; and
-To reside in safer communities, and attend schools, churches, and recreation centers without gun violence.
