I created this group to meet other cyclists and cycling advocates. Cross-postings from other groups are welcomed. Cycling advocacy events such as public pannels, AGMs, city advisory committees are also welcomed.

If applicable, please describe in your event what calibre of cyclists should be expected. The following calibres are suggested:
Leasure: 15 to 18 km/h, mostly to recreational pathways
Commuting: 18 to 24: You are comfortable in cycling on the road and can cycle for 2-3 hours
Touring: 24 to 30 km/h, you are comfortable in cycling on the road and have cycled for entire days.
Sporting: 25 km/h +: You have a road bike and have trained competitively.

Les événements provenant de d'autres groupes meetup sont la bienvenue. Les événements tels que les AGAs, débats publics, les comités consultatifs de la ville sont aussi la bienvenue.
S'il y lieu, veuillez décrire quel est le calibre attendu des cyclistes. Les calibres suivants sont proposés:

Cycle to the Black Walnut Bakery Cumberland
203 Stanley Ave, Ottawa, ON, CAWe use a variety of Paths and Roads to go to the Black Walnut Bakery in Cumberland and take a break there. This is about a 57 km ride speeds are for intermediate riders from 25 to 30 slower on the paths. You may join us on the route if you would like a shorter ride. The Myeloma Canada Ride (May 31) - Orleans, ON
Ray Friel Center, Tenth Line Road, Orleans, ON, CAHello everyone. I’m raising money in support of Myeloma Canada by participating in the Myeloma Canada Ride.
What is myeloma? (Myeloma is a blood cancer) I was diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma in November 2021 so this is a very personal cause for me. For more information on my journey, click on the link to my personal ride page found in the 'Donation Only' section below.
By making a donation or joining the ride (or both), you are supporting the pursuit of curing and preventing the disease, accelerating access to the best care, while empowering and improving the lives of all Canadians affected by myeloma.

Fee: $60 (Includes beverages and snacks (available at the beginning of the event and at the rest stops), as well as a post-ride meal.)
