"Linked Data" - An upcoming book for Web developers

"Linked Data" is an upcoming book from Manning that presents the Linked Data model in plain, jargon-free language to Web developers. Written for Web developers by Web developers, this book requires no previous exposure to Linked Data technologies.

This talk will demonstrate some code examples from the book: A Friend-of-a-Friend (FOAF) generator in JavaScript and an example of using Linked Open Data to create a weather reporting service for any ZIP code. The example code will utilize Callimachus, a framework for data-driven applications based on Linked Data.
