Welcome to Toastmasters 4 Writers!

Toastmasters 4 Writers is a specialty Toastmasters club for everyone who loves storytelling and writing in any genre. You don't need to be a published or professional writer to enjoy our Toastmasters 4 Writers club.

For 20 years, Toastmasters 4 Writers has been providing a safe and welcoming place for people to experience profound growth as communicators and leaders. We are here to cheer on all our members as they overcome their fear of speaking in front of groups, and excel as presenters.

On Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 10 AM - noon PT, we are hosting our hybrid meeting with the theme "Writing About Nature"!

Toastmasters 4 Writers welcomes you to attend!

First Saturday of the month meeting is online via ZOOM.

Third Saturday of the month meeting is usually hybrid (both Zoom and in-person).

You can attend as a "Roomie" in person, or "Zoomie" online.

Location for Roomies at our hybrid meetings:

Fireside Room
First Presbyterian Church of Burbank
521 E. Olive Avenue
Burbank, CA 91501

(The meeting room is wheelchair accessible. Free parking lot adjoining.)

Our meetings start at 10 AM sharp, and end approximately at noon.

Here is the basic structure of our meetings:

INTRODUCTION: The President, Toastmaster and supporting members kick off the meeting.

SPEECHES: One to three speeches are presented by members from a variety of experience levels.

TABLE TOPICS: Guests and members are invited to give 1-2 minute impromptu speeches or share a story.

EVALUATIONS: Select members offer constructive feedback on the speeches presented.

Toastmaster's message for our April 18th meeting:

Dear Toastmasters 4 Writers Members and Guests!

Step outside—no hiking boots required. This meeting invites you to wander through forests of imagination, oceans of metaphor, and the occasional muddy puddle of first drafts.

Whether you’re crafting inspirational books, scripting windswept film scenes, or dreaming up series where nature steals the spotlight, writing about nature is less about knowing every birdcall and more about noticing the world around you.

In honor of Earth Day, we’ll also explore the power of storytelling to protect what we love: to give voice to endangered species, to spotlight vanishing habitats, and to remind readers why this fragile, magnificent planet is worth saving.

Bring your words, your wonder, your own nature stories, to our April 18th hybrid meeting! Let’s turn awe into action—and the wild outdoors into unforgettable stories.
