The August Bay Area Lean Software Development meetup
Details
I like the idea of just getting together to discuss things in general - and if before the meetup someone comes up with a presentation, that would be cool too!
So how about we pick a topic - I vote for (c) - How to increase feedback from the market to inform prioritization decisions at the iteration and release level - maybe especially when you are a product company (so you can't necessarily go to the customers and say - "hey, tell us what to build!"...
Other ideas?
Regards,
Amit.

Let's keep this thing going. With enough momentum I think this group could grow into something that really contributes to the industry.
For topics, how about one of these:
a. How to approach customers with reasons they should adapt to your lean / agile SDLC
b. Ways to evaluate staff and career paths for them in an 'self-managing' organizational structure (like scrum)
c. How to increase feedback from the market to inform prioritization decisions at the iteration and release level, or at the developer level in a lean system
I think we could put forth topics, and have participants be 'prepared' to engage in discussion - without needing any individual to come with a formal presentation. After all, so far the presentations have been great yet the discussion goes on for quite a while with little need for facilitation.
