About us
Dakshinakali Sangha ❤️🙏
Kali Kali Mahakali, Kalike Papaharini,
Dharmamokshadi Devi, Narayani Namostute!
We worship Mother Kali, who dispels darkness, destroys our sins, and blesses us with peace, liberation, and spiritual fulfillment.
Mother Kali manifests in many forms, and one of the most beloved and widely worshipped is Dakshina Kali.
About This Sangha
The purpose of Dakshinakali Sangha is to bring together devotees of Mother Kali so that we may worship together, perform puja, sing kirtan, share food, and celebrate sacred occasions dedicated to our Divine Mother.
My name is Indra, and I warmly invite you to my home mandir, where we can gather in devotion to our beloved Mother. Let us come together to pray to Her, sing Her praises, perform puja, and strengthen our devotion in the company of fellow devotees.
I will be performing the pujas myself. For our gatherings, I will use the Simple Kali Puja text prepared by Swami Bhajananda of the Kali Mandir in Laguna Beach. The text is available online for anyone who wishes to read it and learn how to perform the puja themselves. If you are interested in learning how to worship Mother Kali through puja, I will be happy to help and share what I know.
Our Shared Purpose: Devotion to Kali Ma
The heart of this sangha is bhakti — sincere and selfless devotion to Mother Kali.
This is a place for those whose hearts are drawn to Kali Ma and who wish to deepen their relationship with Her through worship, prayer, kirtan, and the fellowship of other devotees.
Whatever our backgrounds, nationalities, or levels of experience, we are welcome to gather in the spirit of devotion. You do not need to be an expert or an experienced practitioner. All that matters is a sincere heart and a desire to draw closer to our Divine Mother.
If your heart belongs to Kali Ma, you are warmly welcome here. Let us set aside our differences and worldly concerns for a while, come together in Her name, and devote ourselves to Her with love.
Jai Maa!

Sri Ramakrishna's Prayer to Mother Kali
"Mā, I've taken shelter of You!
I've taken shelter of You!
I've taken shelter at Your holy lotus feet.
I don't want the pleasures of the body, Mā!
I don't want people's respect!
I don't want the eight mystical powers.
Just do this: may I have pure devotion
for Your holy lotus feet
— desireless, stainless, selfless devotion.
And Mā, may I not be captivated by
Your world-bewitching māyā.
And in Your world of illusion
may I never have love for the objects
of the lust and greed.
Mā! Except for You, I have no one else.
I'm without any worship,
without any spiritual practice,
without any knowledge,
without any devotion.
Be gracious and give me devotion
for Your holy lotus feet."
~ from Sri Sri Ramakrishna Kathamrita,
