Pitch-A-Friend
Details
Pitch-A-Friend is an event I saw get popular in NYC and other cities last year. The DFW chapter tried to get off the ground but had some hiccups I guess. But they're back and this is the first DFW Pitch-A-Friend of the year and I am quite curious to attend.
To be clear - I am spectating, not pitching, and not being pitched. But I highly encourage you to bring a friend to pitch or pitch you (see the website to sign up).
Event starts at 8pm, but getting there at 7:30 will give us time to try to get a few tables and chat before it starts.
Event is FREE to attend, but this is a restaurant/bar, so please plan to order something as your "rent" for the seat for the evening.
From the website:
Pitch-A-Friend DFW hosts one-of-a-kind events that celebrate friendship and real-life connection, where people pitch their awesome single friends to a crowd of fellow singles. Our events are held at breweries, bars, and other great venues in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area!
How it Works -- Requesting to Pitch:
Reserve a pitch spot through our online form and create a fun, 3–5 minute slide presentation to introduce your single friend to the crowd. Highlight what makes them a great catch and what they're looking for in a partner. This isn't a roast—it's all about celebrating friends in a positive and lighthearted way.
What to Expect as an Attendee:
Join us for a night of fun and connection! Watch creative, feel-good presentations where friends pitch amazing singles to the crowd. You'll also have time to mingle, play games, and meet new people. Whether you're single, supporting a friend, or just curious about the event, there's something for everyone—even if you don't know anyone being pitched!
If you plan to pitch or be pitched, let us know in the comments so we can be alert and root you on.
