Why a planetarium gong sound bath? I'm just not into outdoor summer events this year so I have been digging deep for new indoor things to do. I have been obsessed with finding the right show to finally go over to the UTA Planetarium (the largest in N.TX) and think this is it. I have been to sound baths before but find the bowls to be an uncomfortable frequency so excited to try it with a gong.
It doesn't say specifically in the description, but I messaged to ask - during the meditation you can close your eyes or you can watch the planetarium dome for its celestial display.
You can bring a yoga mat/blanket to lay on the floor, or sit in their reclining seats. Bring a sweater, they say they keep the room chilly.
Session starts at 4, but setting this for 3:30 so we can meet in the lobby and go in together to sit together.
Don't ask me about parking, I read the details on the planetarium site and still don't exactly understand the nearest spot, so take a look before you go.

Official event description:
Relax into the healing vibrations of the gong to rejuvenate all levels of mind, body and spirit and release energy through your physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Enveloped in the transformational sounds of two 40-inch gongs on either side, allow the wave of gentle vibrations to wash away anything that no longer serves you, expand your awareness and elevate your being to divine frequency.
By aligning your whole self to the one powerful but calming frequency of the gongs at every layer, spiritual, emotional, mental and physical, your body's cells entrain to the stronger voice of the vibrations and healing begins with a journey of release then restoration. Join us for a relaxing evening enveloped in a blanket of sound and rejuvenation.
Bring a pillow, yoga mat, blanket, or whatever else you need to be comfortable! Tickets are $33 per person! RSVP early to guarantee a spot.
