My name is Randall Kelton and I am the new organizer for this group. You can find out more about me at www.ruleoflawradio.com. I am a radio talk show host and have been studying and using NLP since the late 70's. I make extensive use of metaphorical and other NLP tools on the show. You can pullour archives and listen to some of our presentations. I would greatly appreciate any feedback I can get concerning conversational applications of NLP.
If I have done my job right, my you will be hard to detect, at the conscious level, what I am doing. If you can detect what I am doing, I will greatly benefit from your feedback. Frankly, I need some knowledgeable people to rip me to pieces.
I joined this group years ago and went to a meeting where they were discussing therapeutic metaphor, so, I ran a metaphor on the group. When I explained what I did, they were furious. The organizer sent me an email asking me to never return. If I had not been laughing so hard, it may have hurt my feelings.
I am working with Dr. Joe Diruzzo. After all my years of study and use of NLP I thought I was at least somewhat competent but Dr Diruzzo puts me to shame. He will help us develop an understanding of the neuro-physiological underpinnings which form and influence our mental models of behavior.
When given the opportunity to take over as organizer of this group I jumped at it as, Dr. Joe and I are developing a set of sophisticated presentations which start with basic NLP tools and techniques then move far beyond. We are in need of people with knowledge or interest in NLP to help us hone our tools and presentations.
If you are interested in what we are doing, please let us know. If you have other NLP interests, let us know as well. We are interested in making this group a vibrant and NLP resource.
